Quality Policy

The Agency for Spatial Planning is fully committed to apply the quality as a system of work in all the processes and activities.

The primary goal of the Agency is to offer quality services in the field of Spatial Planning. The quality policy of the Agency derives from the mission of the Agency and is part of its overall business policy. The quality management system ISO 9001: 2008 is the foundation of the Agency’s work and is continuously monitored and improved in order to meet the policy and goals.

The quality policybof the Agency for Spatial Planning is based on:

  • Continuous quality improvement;
  • Continuous training and education of employees as a basic support to the Quality System;
  • Expertise, conscientiousness and responsibility in fulfilling the work tasks;
  • Fostering the scientific approach, teamwork and motivation for professional and scientific development;
  • Legislation compliance;
  • Harmonization of the methodology and technology of work with the European directives and standards;
  • Ensuring high quality production by creating good relationships and selecting approved and verified suppliers;
  • Internal control of the operation as a measure for reviewing the quality objectives;
  • Providing a good working environment, resources and adequate infrastructure;
  • Transparency in operations, access to information and data and organization of work processes.

The quality policy is available to all employees of the Agency and the public.

  • To harmonize the methodology and technology of planning with the European trends;
  • To foster the scientific approach, teamwork and to stimulate the professional and scientific development;
  • To be the main auditor and to be critical of the spatial developments;
  • To continue with the use of the most sophisticated information technology;
  • To broaden the cooperation with experts and scientific institutions and to continuously participate in the development of young professionals in the field of Spatial planning;
  • To continuously educate and upgrade the planning potential of its employees, through participation in educational gatherings across Europe and beyond;
  • To be a leader of novelties in the field of Spatial planning;
  • To participate in drafting of legislation in the field of planning.
