National Urban Forum

From June 19-21, 2024, the First National Urban Forum of Georgia was held, focusing on Spatial Planning and Sustainability.
The event was organized by the Georgian Agency for Spatial and Urban Planning, UN Habitat, and the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, with representatives from several countries in Europe and Asia attending.
At the invitation of the Georgian Agency for Spatial and Urban Planning, the Spatial Planning Agency of N. Macedonia participated in the National Urban Forum. In the first part, a workshop was held on the localization of sustainable development goals and the preparation of improved voluntary local reports, while in the second part, several panel discussions were held. The topics addressed included: The Role of adequate housing in promoting social, economic, and environmental development; Preservation of natural and cultural heritage; Strengthening local impact and community resilience through the localization of sustainable development goals; and the Importance of agglomeration planning.
